On August 29, 2025. Norway's maniacal thrashing forces came out with their sixth studio album, called Crimson Dawn. It's out on Hells Headbangers, and it's just as evil as you'd expect from this speed thrashing duo!

The opening track is "Abbysic Thunder," which eases you in with classic '80s horror film synths, which is not very surprising knowing what a B-horror buff Salsten is (this is very evident on their 2008 EP "Forever Ripping Fast", with many obscure horror cuts used as intros, one example would be the intro of "Hellish Attakk," starting with a cut from "Rabbid Grannies"). It starts off with ferocious militant drums and vocals still as screechy as ever, drums keep pounding to no end, and the filthy, dirty bass keeps on thundering away. There is no shortage of pure blasphemy on this opening track, that's for sure.

The next song is, in my opinion, the best one on the album, it's called "Satan's Sword" and it even has a music video! It was released a few days prior to the album as a tease, and holy fuck, it worked! The video is amazing and it perfectly captures the madness of this album, with the executioner and the upside-down crosses, and they make it very clear they're inspired by their predecessors and they pay homage to it perfectly! Everything about it screams, "This is how metal is supposed to look and sound!"

You get the gist of it, leather, bullets, Satan and metal, buy it and hear the rest yourself, 8 tracks of pure fucking thrashing mania!

Crack open a beer, put this album on and go fucking insane, available on Hells Headbangers in black, gold, oxblood w/black marble and neon violet galaxy vinyl.
