Crimson Dawn

More black thrashing madness from this insane Norwegian duo. Hard to believe two guys can destroy your eardrums like this, but they do, and you'll just keep begging for more. This is pedal to the metal, full-speed ahead music. They lean more on the extreme thrash end of the spectrum, not all that much "black," but it's there in small doses. I wish I could say this makes me want to dust off the air guitar, but I don't think I can play it that fast. The vocals are akin to some of the more extreme thrash acts of the '80s, and the music certainly borrows from that era as well, but these guys are way beyond that (read: modern ear) in terms of speed. I don't want to be within range of a mosh pit during this band's shows. Nothing new here, just a band that destroys everything in its path, and it's a hell of a rush.
