Deathhammer won't win any points for originality, but Chained to Hell is nonetheless a nice little slab of blackened thrashing metal done right. The music on the album is not nearly as Hellhammer-ish as the band's name would lead you to believe, instead going for a less chaotic style that's reminiscent of mid-80s German thrash, but played more cleanly and mostly faster, with a more "refined" atmosphere. It's fun, it well done, it's definitely not original, but it doesn't really matter. It's good while it's on and get the head banging and the air guitar going at it, and sometimes that's all you need.
