Fabio Paulinelli always stays busy, keeping the new stuff coming with his solo project Grey Wolf. We got his last full-length, The Icy Mountains, almost exactly a year ago, and now we get a nice EP to keep things warm. This is six tracks of the familiar pugilistic Heavy Metal this act puts together. Well, four songs and two short instrumentals, but still. The opening song "The Stygian Army" is a bit weak, but "Acheron" kicks ass, and things just kill from there on. This is not any kind of change from the previous Grey Wolf works—just pounding Omen/Ironsword metal all the way. I think the guitars should be louder, but this is a solid dose of steel, if a short one.
