The Iron Sparrow

This band put out their debut EP just back in February this year, and now we get a limited-edition cassette demo—which indicates that this band is aiming for that extreme retro collector segment of the audience, though you can also get this as a digital download. Writhen Hilt (all four members apparently were in a band called Booze Control together which they put out to pasture a few years ago) have solidified their sound, narrowing their influences down to a very strong similarity to classic Warlord, with the hooky riffs and the sometimes haunting vocal melodies. This is just two songs, but it more than justifies itself with quality. The only drawback to it is that it's not a full-length album, which I really want to hear.
