I'm almost positive I saw this band live last year, probably in Quebec City (I saw too many shows to remember every band I saw). This is dark, gloomy, slowish-paced death metal that sounds like a descent to hell with its deep, otherworldly growls and all-around heaviness. Some passages have a bit of an occult, mysterious vibe that reminds me of '70s bands that did that kind of creepy stuff. Lots of heaviness all around, nothing especially speedy, just crushing death metal that will haunt your nightmares. A bit on the short side (this is a reissue of their demo), hopefully Décryptal have some more in the oven.
