This is listed as an EP, but it's over 30 minutes long, which makes it a pretty good spin for your dollar. I have become a fan of this band, as even if they are not doing anything blazingly original, they are doing something I like and doing it well. This EP wears the Graveland influence even more proudly than their last full-length, and it's impossible not to notice how much this is walking in the footsteps of albums like Memory & Destiny or The Fire of Awakening. What does stand out is how good this is. The riffs are epic, melodic, and memorable, the production is a just-right balance between arcane and clear, and the whole creates that atmosphere of pagan lands and ages that I love, and if you love it too, then Runespell should be on your radar.
