Second full-length for Finnish band Sepulchral Curse—and if you have to ask what kind of metal they play with that name, you probably don't get out much. This is Death Metal done the old way, with crushing heaviness, atonal riffing, and deep gurgling vocals that sound like they are bubbling up from the basement. There is an inimical edge to this that reminds me more than a little bit of Sulphur Aeon, though this is not as technical as that, this is much more in the tradition of Scandinavian Death Metal with the crunching riffs and a grim sense of melody. I love how the production turns all this into a wall of seething wrath, and I bet you will too.
