Lies in Ruin

This band shows flashes of promise, and they do sometimes show a flair for real riffs, so this is better than I expected. This is a US band with their debut, playing a kind of generic Death/Thrash with waaaay too much groove/hardcore influence, but still having some chops that says to me this could be a decent band if they got their head out of Dimebag's ass. Mostly listenable, with some real bright spots, but mostly this is too repetitive and too groovy, with some really bad vocals. Tolerable, I guess.
