I am always up for some Funeral Doom. When it's done right, almost nothing else is as encompassing and has the power to sweep you along with it. This is the third album for Finnish band Burial Choir, and they are working right from the book of bands like Pantheist or Funeral. In fact, a lack of originality is the only thing I can call these guys on, as this is well produced, well played, and sets a mournful and affecting mood all the way through. If you like Funeral Doom, then you have heard stuff just like this before, but so many would-be bands do this badly, it is worth hearing one that does it right.
