This is both a reissue and rerecording of Tsjuder's EP released way back in 1997. The rerecording was made in 2017 and it sure brings more life (or is that death?) into the original recording which suffered from rather poor production and, whether you prefer it uber raw or not, kind of hurt the songs. Throne of the Goat shows Tsjuder during their more primitive and violent period but also how their basic sound has remained mostly intact throughout the years if you compare it to their more recent albums. Not essential, but if you missed out on owning the original EP and/or would like to hear the songs as the band plays them today, then you get the best of both worlds since the EP includes both recordings. It probably works better on vinyl, with one version on each side.
