Dragon Eagle of Chaos

I think I hadn’t heard Lair of the Minotaur since their debut more than 10 years ago. This is a short little EP but it packs a lot of punch in a second short of seven minutes in length. Think Hellhammer/early Celtic Frost played better and with a modern production. A little dark-ish atmosphere and a lot of chugging riffs and the vocal style that takes you back 35 years. It’s impossible not to headbang and tap your foot while listening to this. Not particularly original, but well done. Sucks that it’s only two short songs, but it does hint at something good coming from the band. Digital-only release, so pretty easy to find.
