Godslayer
I have been a fan of this band since the beginning, but I was completely disappointed with the feeble Evil Power album from 2010 and was pretty sure this band had done all they were going to do. Gone were the days of pummeling proto-thrash and savage heaviness that highlighted albums like War Metal Battle Master. Thus I received their new EP without much excitement. Imagine my pleasure when this turns out to be a brass-knuckled slice of evil that recalls their best works. There are only two tracks on this, and so it is far too short, but if you loved shit like The Ultimate Destroyer as much as I did, this bodes very well for the band's future. I'd rate this higher, because these songs kill, but it's just too damned short. Just a taste, but an encouraging one
