Testimonio de Bautismo
Furious and speedy, Thrash-fueled Black and Death Metal...Anyone? Polish Black/Death Metal torpedo, Stillborn, is on loose again with their fifth album, titledĀ Testimonio de Bautismo, and they come for our necks like hellish werewolves after our blood on a winter night.
This Polish trio has always – more or less – kept their pedal to the metal, blasting out their uncompromising, unrelenting and back-to-the-roots type of Black and Death Metal straight from their blackened souls, without really caring whether you or me would dig this stuff or not. However, they should not be worried a bit whether the stuff they do onĀ Testimonio de Bautismo will raise the dead back to life or not because there are some certain standards there within their very ruthless and savage sounding Black/Death Metal that fans of extreme Metal genres can certainly appreciate. At times, Stillborn even manages to reach nearly the same level of extremity and intensity that, for example, reformed Angelcorpse and L.A. Death Metal horde Sadistic Intent have both become known for.
Testimonio de Bautismo offers a good set of the meat-and-potato Black and Death Metal, something that most extreme Metal fans can definitely enjoy. At least I know I did. Hell fuckin' yeah...!
