Cult of the Empty Grave is the third full-length from Italy's Black/Thrash throwbacks Barbarian. Melodic yet thrashy riffs and hateful, growling vocals, requirements of the style, are in full force. Barbarian add a couple of twists like some backing vocals on "Bridgeburner" that gives them a bit of separation from the crowd of bands playing this style but ultimately this is Venom worship with a big, fat pinch of Celtic Frost.
