Easton Hope was the first Orden Ogan album I heard and while it initially blew me away, that feeling hasn't lasted. It is still a good album, just not as breathtaking as I'd initially thought. 2012's To the End sounds like it just might be that killer album I thought Easton Hope was going to be. Everything about To the End is huge, from the choruses to the guitar sound, which packs far more punch than anything on Easton Hope. The tempos are on the faster side and every song demands your attention. Singer Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann dug deep and found a reserve of charisma not heard on past albums. It doesn't matter whether he's leading the spirited chants on "Land of the Dead" or lamenting the life of servitude on "The Ice Kings," you'll likely be singing along. There's some excellent lead work and the backing vocals deserve mention as well. To the End is well done all around and is therefore highly recommended for all fans of quality Power Metal.
