Resurrection...Book of the Dead

This is a short EP of cool and old school, if not particularly original Death Metal. This reminds me a little bit of Master's later work. It's mostly fast-paced but not "pedal-to-the-metal fast", so there's actually something intelligible in here – be it the rough, throaty growls that are decipherable with some effort, or the music itself which contains enough melody to me memorable (most of this stuff got stuck in my head after a couple of listens) but is raw, harsh and "bestial" enough to qualify as good, in-your-face Death Metal. I certainly wouldn't mind a full-length album with similar material.
