This is an attempt to blend the big-riff sensibility of Sabbath with the harsh and dirty vibe of acts like Hellhammer. It fails mostly because the guys in this band seem to think sludge is the way to go, and so this is just mediocre riffs repeated over and over and over until you want to punch someone in the face – preferably someone responsible for this mess. The vocals are a monotonous gargle in the background that neither adds nor detracts from the proceedings, but the 'proceedings', such as they are, are pretty excruciatingly boring. This is music by and for people who completely misunderstand the purpose and even the meaning of heaviness, thinking it means just downtuned thugging without regard for build, tension, or emotional resolution in music. Analagous to trying to masturbate by repeatedly punching yourself in the dick.
