Death Metal with some hardcore influences is what New Jersey’s Abacinate bring to the party. This will mostly appeal to fans of "modern Death Metal", not so much to the old school crowd. Lots of breakdowns, some clean-ish, almost spoken vocals popping up here and there and not really fitting in (nothing bad to say about the growls, which are pretty good.) The music here sometimes sounds a bit like In Flames-style melodic Death Metal, while at other times it’s like a brutal Death Metal bulldozer plowing through the speakers. A mix that ends up being hit or miss. Pretty much what I’d call a "love it or hate it" album for most people.
