Finland is perhaps not the biggest breeding ground when thinking about Death Metal. Then again, it allows bands like Sotajumala to produce some interesting, and un-Gothenburg sounding extreme music.

Teloitus is not a repetitive, purely brutal, or boring type of release. I noticed the difference in their structure the moment I started playing this disc. I thought it was rather thrilling, for a Death Metal album. Not only is this band as tight as possible, but the powerful sound production makes every aspects of their music loud, kicking, and right in your face. This stuff is technical, precise, wicked, vicious, and somewhat melodic too. The growls are actually very good, and on the very last track, "Teloitus", they are simply great and real deep. The drumming is relentless and pummeling, with double basses galore, all of which fitting damn well this type of Finnish Death Metal. Then comes my favorite part: the guitar work. Just excellent from beginning to end! I love every parts played by both guitarists. Crushing riffs, razor sharp tremolo picking, and crazy solos are everywhere to amaze anyone listening Teloitus. If you play guitar, chances are that you will be more than impressed by this demonstration of musicianship.

Lots of great compositions to be heard here like: "Tappaja Ja Tapettu", "Riistetty Viattomuus", "Verellä Kirjoitetty", "Oikeutus", and the closing/title track. Highly recommended!
