This is a band that I have really come to like quite a bit and when I received this promo in the mail I was expecting quite a bit after hearing the bands previous work. Although my expectations were high, Sinergy was easily able to deliver.

For those of you not familiar with the band I will provide a quick breakdown. Sinergy play metal that reminds you of the late 80's speed sound in the same vein as Judas Priest. The band is fronted by ex Dimmu Borgir keyboardist Kimberly Goss and also has the immense talents of Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom on guitars. The band is rounded out by Roope Latvala (ex Waltari) on guitars, Marco Hietala (Tarot) on bass and the newest member Mats Karlsson on drums who replaced Tommi Lillman who left after the recording of this album.

From start to finish this is one excellent album. The songwriting has improved from the last album, which in all reality was quite good to begin with. The vocals are clean but don't fall into the majority of female vocalist of being operatic in nature. Kimberly has a great command on her voice and has plenty of range, which really adds a lot to the enjoyment of the music. I have to admit however the highlight of the album for me is the guitar work. If you have already heard the band Children of Bodom you know about Alexi Laiho's skill. Simply put he is in the elite class of metal guitarists and once again he shows his talent on this album. Absolutely ass-kicking leads all over this album really set this album apart.

Overall I would say another excellent release from this band and if you are into melodic metal of any form this will definitely be a welcome addition to your collection. Highly Recommended.
