Realm of the Impaled

This is a busy little slab of death metal. Creeping Fear play it pedal to the metal without leaving much breathing room for the listener. Fast, brutal and heavy with some technical leanings—the latter without showing off—and with some top-notch growling, Realm of the Impaled packs in a lot of stuff and doesn't get boring despite sometimes sounding like a wall of sound; you really need to kick back and pay attention to peel all the layers out of this one. Throw in a horror-like atmosphere that pops up here and there, about the only time you get a reprieve from this aural assault. Lots of fun and replay-worthy.
