I knew this was an American band after the first riff. There's just a sound that US Thrash bands have that you can't fake—and this is pure, 100% Thrash in the tradition of Exodus and. . . well, pretty much just Exodus. Lots of bands are inspired by albums like Bonded by Blood and Pleasures of the Flesh, and this band is not shy about being one of them. There is a degree of melody and flair in the lead work that makes me think of Destruction, because Exodus were never that precise, but overall this is Amerithrash start to finish. The thing a recording like this needs is riffs, and Misfire understood that assignment, as this thing is blistering with headbanging, fist-throwing riffs. It has to be said that the songs don't sound that distinct, but they all kick enough ass for that not to make a difference. For Thrash fans this should be a mandatory buy.
