Atlantis Rising

Arkayic Revolt has been around since 2008 but this single, featuring the songs "The New Hypocrisy" and "Atlantis Rising," is their first release of new material in 10 years. They play fast, melodic thrash metal, sort of a power/thrash vibe, and both tracks are quite good. The vocals aren't the most powerful, but the vocal lines do a lot to maximize their impact and the rest of the performances are by a band that has clearly not neglected their skills in the time between now and their last release. It is hard to recommend a band on two songs, but these tracks are very promising, so here's hoping we get a more substantial release from Arkayic Revolt in the not-too-distant future.
