Kind of an odd album name, but carnage this certainly is. In-your-face death metal is the name of the game here, just unrelenting metal of death blowing through the speakers with harsh growls that shatter the ears and a good speed that's not too slow but also not so fast that it is just an unrecognizable blur. There's a dark atmosphere going on here, but above all this is the kind of stuff that makes you headbang and slam into walls like there's no tomorrow. This is the kind of death metal that makes you feel like you're being machine-gunned down and run over by a freight train that's taking its sweet little time so you'll feel each axle crushing you. Brutal while somewhat catchy and not just a mindless speedfest, Carnage Gathers is one of those albums that calls for repeat plays no matter how much more of a beating you can take.
