The Star

This is a decade-old band I have never heard before, but they fit in quite well with the sound you expect from more melodic Swedish Black Metal. I hear similarities to stuff like Thyrfing or Mithotyn, though it has to be said Wormwood do not really have any folk element to their sound. This is far from harsh Black Metal, with highly melodic riffing, a lot of keys, and plenty of acoustic breaks. I enjoy this while it is on, but I have to admit that not much of it sticks when it is over.
