Armageddon Overlord

Some brutal black metal from Spain here. Edenkaiser's music is rooted in second-wave blasting black metal, so there's lots of speed and heaviness here and not much time to catch your breath other than some very short melodic intros and outros. The vocals are filled with hate, standing out quite a bit but also a great match for the violent music on offer. Despite all this, there are actually quite a few catchy bits here and there and enough variety that the album doesn't just sound like the same barrage of noise all the way through. Not the most original stuff out there, but it doesn't sound generic either and Edenkaiser are doing the genre proud with this aural onslaught.
