Strong third album for this Portuguese band, who are pushing the envelope a bit, incorporating some more experimental sounds in the vein of Blut Aus Nord or Nightbringer. Powerful, dark, and propulsive, this has a really good sound with a lot of depth and space. Keys provide mood and atmosphere, putting this in a line of descent from Emperor or Evilfeast. Quite a lot of the vocals on here are either a spoken-word kind of thing, or a rather restrained croak, and while it doesn't really detract from the whole, I don't like it much, and would like something more forceful, especially when the musical attack is so good.
