Heavy Load offer us some rather accessible, easy-on-the-ears heavy metal with this album. This is not overly aggressive (if at all, really) and it's an album that you can put on if you have some visitors who are into rock or classic rock (if they can't handle this, throw them out). More often than not I was reminded of '70s-ish hard rock and heavy rock bands like Styx and Queen, among others, as well as mid-80s Whitesnake. Overall the album is pretty mellow (I do not recommend it for driving; I tried), so this is not headbanging material, but it's hard not to break out the air guitar when some of the solos kick in, and the vocal melodies are sure to stick in your head, when they don't make you want to sing along. This is borderline metallic and will appeal to a wider spectrum of listeners than the material of many bands originating from the same years. Definitely not crazy about the acoustic bonus track which bored me to tears, but I just don't like that kind of stuff, so this one is entirely up to the listener. A good album when you're looking for something mellow with a metallic edge.
