World Targets in Megadeaths is the second full-length album from Slovakia's Acid Force, a band slugging out thrash metal old-school style. Sharp guitars laying down melodic riffs and some tasty leads are the best part of Slovakia's aural assault while the vocals are barked/shouted as much as sung, a tribute to the band's crossover influences. They are fine if you like that sort of approach. The songwriting is Bay Area with a bit of West Coast Crossover thrown in and perhaps a touch of Voïvod roughness here and there (notably "Rebirth of the Sun"). There isn't anything on World Targets in Megadeaths you haven't likely already heard, but it's plenty entertaining while it is on, especially if you are into early Exodus, Sacred Reich, Vio-lence, and the like.
