Divinations

A short 7" split with only one song for each of the two bands, Divinations nevertheless leaves its mark. Aberration present a muddy, guttural-sounding, dark and hollow song of blackened death metal that is sure to keep the pesky neighbours at a good distance (or calling an exorcist, whatever). Diabolic Oath offer something just as dark and diabolic (uhuh) sounding, but somewhat more energetic, yet mostly in the same vein of slow to mid-paced, crushingly heavy and sombre black/death as what Aberration did on their song. This is not the kind of death metal I'd see thrashing against the walls with, but rather just kicking back and embracing the darkness.
