Bazookiller

Fifteen-and-a-half minutes. How's that for a tease? Spain's Holycide present four cuts of modern-meets-old-school thrash on Bazookiller (cool name). The harsh vocals feel a little too much in the background and restrained, though that doesn't take too much away from the songs (it's better than when they overshadow the music, so there's that). The songs are mid to fast-paced with strong, aggressive and sharp guitar riffs and the drums aren't left wanting either; I had to get my air drums out a few times. I'm not reminded of any particular band while listening to this, the guys just thrash along from beginning to end with no dull moment, and when it's over you wish the duration was 2-3 times longer.
