Rotting Incarnation of God
Hot on the heels of the Altar of the Virgin Whore EP came this full-length, which really shows Profanatica steaming ahead full rudder with no waves to deviate them from a straight path. The band has never been about playing it pretty and they're not mellowing out one bit. From start to finish, Rotting Incarnation of God is raw black metal to the core with a mix of fast and slower, crushing passages of pure evil. This atmosphere on this album is so dark and evil that you feel uneasy the whole time, like being lost in a haunted forest on a moonless night. If you're looking for artsy black metal, this is pretty much the opposite. Then again, if you've ever heard this band before, you knew that already. This is Profanatica sticking to their guns and doing what they do best.
