Into Battle

Into Battle is the fourth album from Austria's Viking Metal warriors Heathen Foray. The sound is excellent and the guitars have a great tone and play some wicked riffs. Sadly, those riffs aren't organized into anything truly memorable and Heathen Foray hasn't come up with anything we haven't heard before from Amon Amarth, Ensiferum, etc. I like it well enough when it is on but can't come up with much reason to go back to it when it's over. If quality Viking Metal with lots of melody helps you put your back into the rowing of the longboat you could do worse than dialing up Into Battle on the iPod but there is much better out there as well.
