French Death Metal squad Recueil Morbide is back with their fifth studio album, Morbid Collection. I recall not liking their previous album, 2011's Only Hate Left, for a number of reasons and one in particular.
Morbid Collection isn't much of an improvement even if the band's ultra-brutal and even somewhat confusing technical Death Metal approach is better. I have absolutely nothing against their attempts at wanking their instruments to the max and giving people blindingly fast blast beat feasts à la Hate Eternal but when those "pigs-getting-fucked-in-the-butt" shrieks come along my manhood dies immediately. If they just got rid of them I would have a happy boner again, not for any butt fucking purposes but for decent, ultra-complex and modern Death fucking Metal.
At best Morbid Collection reminds me of Hate Eternal's debut album Conquering the Throne so it's sad that they ruin their stuff with absolutely horrendous and perverted voices from some bestial rites. Oh well, you cannot please everyone and certainly not this picky whiner, that's for sure.
