The thing that struck me the most after listening to this demo is that nothing struck me while listening to it. I don't like to judge a band based only on three songs, but that's all I have so... Here we have some pretty generic power metal with some thrash-inspired riffs and clean vocals, power metal style - not bad but the singer still sounds like a hundred others. At times it sounds like the band tried to do things a bit more complex that they could handle, and it shows - very chaotic (in a bad way), disorganised, and at times the guitar seems to be agonising (again, in a bad way.) Thankfully the drumming isn't overdone, they resisted the urge to bore the listener with the now-typical constant double bass drum, so that helps a little. The thrash-inspired guitar work is a plus, instead of the too pop-ish sound I was expecting at first. One or two good (but slightly underworked) solos - nothing spectacular but very reminescent of traditional metal. In the end, the ensemble is pretty bland, and the band will need to do a lot better if they want to get noticed. Nothing here to run away from, but nothing to get excited about either.
