Playing a mix of raw Black and Thrash Metal ("Black-Thrash" or "blackened Thrash", whatever you choose to call it) makes your Metal sound dirtier, uglier, nastier and more evil, doesn't it? Acts like Deströyer 666, Nifelheim, Sarcófago, Desaster, very early Sepultura and the like, know all too well how to make an indelible impression on people with their primitive, aggressive music.
Finland's Damnatör, four advocates for hellish and black noise, have released a seven-song demo, Unchain the Plague, loyally follows in the same musical footprints as the aforementioned bands, especially Nifelheim and Deströyer 666. Damnatör, however, sounds more raw, more punk-influenced and stripped down. It certainly appeals to the many fans of this relatively popular sub-genre of Metal music.
Damnatör don't bring anything new to the table but they are still pretty fun to listen to. Damnatör makes music for the fans of nasty, raw blackened Thrash Metal, so you now know what you are about to get.
