Slovakia's Death Metal troupe Perversity is on the loose again, I see...
Perversity performs a mostly American-sounding Death Metal that is deeply rooted in the 90's period of the genre. Specifically, the style they have adopted on this six-track EP, Infamy Divine, hearkens back to Suffocation's classic debut album Effigy of the Forgotten. Juraj's vocals remind me of a cross of Frank Mullen and Glen Benton. The guy is truly able to conjure up a powerful vocal delivery that serves the music almost perfectly.
I also like that they stay true to form and just deliver some of the best aspects of American-tinged old school Death Metal; keeping it as extreme and heavy as possible, right out of the 90's. There's nothing modern to their sound and the less-than-slick production suits Perversity's Death Metal in a fine way.
Keep your eyes and ears open for these Slovakian Death Metallers from now on. They are like powerful dynamite with a short fuse; ready to explode among the masses with positively destructive results.
