Fuck yes, some actual good melodic death metal. Straight off the bat I'll say this takes some cues from the Gothenburg style, so if that kind of sound makes your insides churn then Sanctium can be safely missed. For those who enjoy the sound I'd say you're in for a treat. Sanctium serves up a cool blend of styles here on their eponymous debut release, from atypical, rollicking melo-death riffing to blast beats and some slight progressive touches. This should please fans of The Absence, At The Gates, Words Of Farewell and even Amon Amarth to no end. Recommended!
