This is a Finnish band thugging old-school Doom Metal. This is supposed to be an EP, but really, this is just a demo. (The line is getting pretty blurry these days). This sounds pretty much like a live studio recording, and the sound is pretty decent, even if the guitars could use more oomph. Singer Samuel Wormius is okay, but he doesn't seem to have much of an ear for melodies. These songs are uptempo and aim for a 70's Doom kind of sound. The riffs are okay, nothing great. Opener "Thousand Names" is pretty annoying, but "Beyond the Wisdom" is much better, with a real serpentine groove to it. Wormius stretches out here as well and shows he has real potential, as this is clearly the best song on here. Closer "Luna" is pretty good, too.

So this starts out rather badly, but improves after that, and the title song in particular shows that a full-length by this band might be worth getting.
