Antropomorphia bring forth a bout of destructive, bordering on creative modern death metal that avoids some of the pitfalls some acts are inclined to make and honor their roots in the past.

Whilst I'm unfamiliar with anything Antropomorphia have done previously (the band formed in the late eighties) I can say that their sophomore effort Evangelivm Nekromantia is a flat-out smoking slab of death metal. The riffs own the show, and are surprisingly creative within the constraints of the death metal genre. Antropomorphia aren't afraid to slow the pace when needed, but largely keep around a mid-fast attack. If there's any negatives to level I would have to say that parts in some of the songs feel abruptly tacked together, and although it doesn't damage the flow too much, it's definitely noticeable.

If you want to hear a collection of quality death metal then look no further than Evangelivm Nekromantia, which along with the latest releases from Aeon and Cannibal Corpse ranks among some of the finest in the genre for 2012, and a quality way to begin closing out what has been a good year for Metal Blade.
