This could have been some ace death metal if it weren't for the god awful modern vocals (and not to mention the redundant clean vocals that have no place here). The music itself is technically sautéed death metal with a slight melodic tendency, and with a more capable vocalist this could have been fairly cool. I would say the EP gets better as each track comes along, but then it is pretty hard to sit through those ridiculous clean vocals in the opening track and by the time they unleash a "one, two, three, GO!" I find myself wanting to cleanse my ears with some Asphyx.

The riffs are good, but there is quite a bit wrong with this. Death metal fans are going to want to steer clear, but if you have a penchant for modern metal, melodic death metal or even a cheeky slice of metalcore then you might find at least a little joy on Day Zero.
