This is one of those album that I can't find much to say about... It's neither good nor bad, it leaves me in kind of a "neutral" state, not really knowing what to think - at times I even listened to the complete album without really hearing it(!) Maybe this album would have benefitted by being in the 40-45 minutes range. 62 minutes of this kind of material get boring after a couple of repeated listens. Overall the music sounds a bit like doom/death, mostly mid-paced with growling vocals (with a few clean parts here and there, but not much.) A few sound effects here and there (sort of interludes) are more annoying than useful (damn that bell in the middle of the album...)

I've seen this album both praised and bashed in some reviews, I'd say I stand in the middle, and I don't think any of the songs here really deserve to be bashed - not too much anyway :). Some of the material shines compared to the rest, but it's nothing worthy of praise either. Average to below-average material for the genre, with some highlights. Still, I can't help but feel that something is missing here. Check the sound samples before buying.
