There comes a point, when experimenting with the boundaries of a genre, where you drive right over the fucking cliff and become something else entirely. Maybe something bad, maybe something good, but almost never of interest to fans of the original style you started with. Grisâtre have pretty much reached that point here. This is Black Metal pushed so far into ambient country it is not really like metal of any kind at all anymore. This kind of thing can be done well regardless, but here it is not really done well and is just repetitive and tedious. Avoid.
