This is the third album from the "Manowars from the land down under", and I think it's their best (although I have not heard the first one...) The music is kick ass 80s-style heavy metal, nothing fancy but a damn effective, catchy delivery. I like the straightforward guitar work with the occasional catchy solo, but the drums on this release, while good, do not stand out, pretty much just supporting the music without going out of the way - more a remark than a criticism. I think it's the lyrics most people will have a problem with, as this stuff is so cheesy, you'll either find them funny or pathetic (if you actually take that stuff seriously, you need help.) Still, as I've mentioned before, it's nice to have this kind of simple stuff around for when you're in the mood. The lyrics here are very war, or I should say warrior-oriented, with some emphasis on patriotism in some places. A song such as "Apache Warriors" is a bit surprising coming from Australians, but then again, stranger things have happened. Overall very anthemic stuff, so those who can't stand that kind of stuff should definitely stay away. Personally I like an occasional dose, and Pegazus are very good at it. The songs are pretty much all rockers, with the exception of a quiet 2:40 instrumental. Also included is a good cover of Accept's "Restless and Wild" classic - no big departure from the original here, but always great to hear. An album that doesn't invent anything, but still gets a high mark for a very good delivery and its entertainment value.
