Stupidly enough I decided to take on two Denizen releases, and after reviewing Introversion I really didn't want to listen to this. To my surprise Audio Paintings starts very well, opening up with a killer guitar solo. "In The Darkness" stands as a fairly good opener and keeps a nice true metal feel to it. Sadly by the time we reach "The Deep" things hit an all time low, with some of the worst production I've heard in a long time. I'm going to keep this shorter and sweet – shorter than the last one. I find it hard to recommend this to anyone, if you like truly shoddy production, drum machines, whining vocals or bizarre guitar effects this is for you. I for one am happy I won't have to endure another listen of this release.
