What the hell is this? I can think of a lot of things people mix with metal to make something different, but this is too much. Dol Ammad are a Greek band who on the one hand get some points for trying something new, but lose most of them for producing such a fruity album. Of all the things I would want added to metal, electronica is not one of them. And to be honest the metal element here is pretty thin, consisting of some rather muted guitars and some double-bass drumming. Overall this comes off as electronic synth music like DaRude or even Tangerine Dream mixed with some crappy, third-rate Power Metal. News flash: adding a lot of dancey melodies and some weird sound effects to generic eurometal a la Dreamtale or Twilightning does not really improve it. Overall I find this CD listenable, as it has some good melodies and good choir-style vocals in the Therion vein. But I find the idea behind it repulsive, and the thought of a subgenre following this band's style is a horror not to be contemplated. To Dol Ammad I say: "nice try, don't do that again."
