2025 is shaping up to be a pretty decent year for thrash metal, with some classic bands releasing stellar outputs, and a slew of newer bands finding their footing and putting out some solid, fist-pumping music. Ravager fit neatly into the latter category with their brand of Bay Area-inspired, high-energy thrash. From Us with Hate is their fourth album since forming in 2014, arriving four years after the well-received The Third Attack. Ravager play straight-up, razor-sharp, fast, and highly enjoyable thrash metal that draws heavily on classic Exodus (underscored by "Bonded by Blood" cover) with a few nods to the old-school German scene as well. As the song titles suggest, it's a bit silly, and there's nothing here you haven't heard before, but it's well executed and pretty fucking entertaining.
