Congenital Depravity
If you're looking for some face-smashing brutal death metal, Indonesia is a good part of the world to look at, and Cranial Disorder are one of the bands that help give that country such a reputation. Short at just under 29 minutes, Congenital Depravity wastes no time going full speed ahead and not stopping before hitting a wall head-on at the end of the album. Crunchy riffs, machine-gunning drums and deep growls (thankfully steering clear of the pig squeals often used in the subgenre) are plastered all over this. Surprisingly catchy at times, the album is nonetheless a blastfest that will make the uninitiated hide under their bed in fetal position. Nothing here you haven't heard before if you're into brutal death, but it's well executed and a lot of fun. As a side note, that artwork deserves the vinyl release treatment.
