Another strong offering from Seth following the excellent La morsure du Christ from 2021, released after a 9-year silence. Still very strong on the melodic aspect of black metal yet not lacking in aggression, there's that strong melancholic vibe on this album that kind of steals the show and gives so much power to the sound that it's pretty much impossible not to be drawn in from the first note until the last. This album, much like its predecessor, brings us back to the best years of Seth back in the late '90s, but doesn't sound dated in any way. While the music is some first-rate melodic black metal (don't take "melodic" to mean anything like it's watered down because it's not), the powerful and emotional vocals give the album an epic kick that captures the listener's attention, whether they understand French or not. Another must-have album from these French masters of the black arts.
